Brock Solutions to supply Electrics on Paul Wurth
Granulator awarded by St.
Mary's Cement for Stelco LEW

Brock Solutions , has been commissioned to supply the
complete electrical package and automation software for Paul Wurth's INBA
Slag Granulation system purchased by St. Mary’s Cement to be installed at
Stelco Lake Erie Works. Brock Solutions is a drive and automation
engineering firm with a proven track record solving the unique challenges in
the Metals industry.
This is the third Slag Granulation electrical system Brock
Solutions has supplied for Paul Wurth Inc. Slag Granulation is a process
that uses spray water to convert molten blast furnace slag into granules for
use in cement industry.
Brock's electrical package includes the supply of a totally
self contained Electrical Room containing multiple MCC's for the drives and
PLC equipment, a Compressor Room housing the compressor and Drum Spray Pump,
as well as a standalone Operator Pulpit with HMI's. The extensive use of
simulation software during integrated testing of the electrical equipment
has proven to reduce the on-site commissioning and assist in training of
site personnel. The scheduled completion of this project is February
2004.
