Performance Enhanced at Raleigh's News&Observer with Completion of a Static Belt Reels Makeover Project

Brock Solutions, a Kitchener-based engineering solutions company with a specialty focus on the Printing industry, is pleased to announce the successful completion of a Makeover project involving 18 Static Belt Reels for The News & Observer in Raleigh, North Carolina.
The Makeover project was based on The News & Observer’s project objectives for increased reliability, improved runnability, and reduced rolls per break. During a one-month period covering August to September 2005, Brock’s printing specialists performed the comprehensive upgrade makeover of 18 Goss Static Belt Reels covering two KBA flexographic presses, with nine reels on each press. The RTP upgrades were complete with a Folder Console touchscreen for ease of use monitoring and control of each reel and setting tension parameters.
