Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)

In its simplest form, MES links business systems like SAP with real-time operational plant controls systems like PLCs. With MES the manufacturing process becomes information driven - this info can be used to trigger actions or "Execute" operations, activities, rules, etc.

Typically our customers have a number of standalone, legacy systems that do bits and pieces of MES, and want to move toward an 'integrated' solution based on a single technology.

Brock has integrated MES across industries and technical platforms. Typical functions include:

  • Performance Monitoring (Downtime, OEE, etc.)
  • Track & Trace/Genealogy
  • Quality & Defect Tracking
  • Detailed Production Scheduling
  • Document Management & Paperless Work Instructions
  • Electronic Batch Records
  • Powerful Reporting
  • Electronic Flow Measurement

What makes us different in the MES integration space is our knowledge and experience with the Controls layer. Because Brock has both Controls and MES expertise, we bring the breadth of skills required to successfully integrate MES into the manufacturing operation.
