Synopsis of Multi-Site Cosmetics Batch/Recipe Management and SCADA Project

Situation: An international manufacturer of bulk material for the cosmetics industry looked at standardizing production across its 5 US production sites. Production Site Description: Production sites consist of modular batch processing cells known as skids. Skids are integrated, autonomous manufacturing facilities, each containing six to nine batching vessels, which combine to produce finished products. Requirement: A common S88 platform on all skids across all plants to serve as the framework for effectively integrating the 5 manufacturing facilities to centralized ERP and supply-chain-management systems.
