Situation: A large Canadian bakery with international market presence was interested in optimizing various aspects of its operations. Customer Objectives: Implement the technology to automate the capture of data at each machine; measure the rate of utilization and Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) of the machines; increase equipment availability and throughput; log faults for further analysis and charting; enabling supervisory personnel to monitor historical performance of a line by means of a point-and-click interface; automate periodic delivery of reports to key email accounts.
