- Situation: 57 panels of varying types were required to support a Big 3 automotive manufacturer's purchase of a new sheet hydroforming press line from a Japanese press manufacturer.
- Brock's Panel Shop's Scope of Work: Design, fabricate, test, and ship 57 panels consisting of Power Distribution Panels (2-door), Operator Panels, Tool Change Panels, Front-of-Press Panels, End-of Line Panels, Destacker Panels, Centering Station Panels, Monitoring Panels, and Motor Control Panels.
- Challenges:
- Shipment Overseas - The panels were crated and shipped to Japan in accord with stringent compliance mandates.
- Change Orders Throughout the Panel Building Development Cycle - Numerous specification changes were issued, which required on-going wiring changes right up to the time of shipping, and afterwards. To assure all change requirements were met to the satisfaction of the customer, after shipping Brock flew a panel technician to perform the necessary wiring changes associated with the further change requirements.
