On December 7th Brock Solutions announced the successful go-live of their latest cloud-based version of SmartBag Reconciliation. SmartBag Reconciliation is a Baggage Reconciliation System (BRS) that automates the process of reconciling passengers and checked bags and is part of Brock’s SmartSuite Airline Solution offerings.Brock worked with Emirates to implement the cloud-based SmartBag solution at two of their US hubs; George Bush Intercontinental Airport (IAH), and Logan International Airport (BOS). The advantage of this cloud-based implementation is there is advanced visibility into the operation, no infrastructure onsite and the speed of implementing the solution at an airport. Emirates airline is a global connector of people, places and economies and has a fleet of 231 wide-bodied aircraft operating to 147 destinations in 84 countries. Brock is excited about this new partnership and the opportunity to flourish together in the industry.
SmartBag Reconciliation will enable Emirates personnel to reconcile passengers and their checked baggage, track bags from the sort pier to the aircraft, and also to transfer points through inbound processing at destination locations, allowing the airline to provide a more streamlined baggage handling process.
