Rick Brock buys a stake in Sutherland-Shultz and the company is awarded its first major automation contract.
Sutherland-Shultz acquires Canadian shares of Saftronics, changes name to SAF Drive Systems Ltd.
Sutherland-Schultz Automation Group wins National Innovation Award.
Sutherland-Schultz sold off three parts: Wilson Technologies, SS-Tech, and SAF Drives. Rick Brock purchases them and opens three separate companies. In 1993 Rick sold Wilson Technologies. Picard Technologies Inc. is founded in Montreal, Quebec.
Since 1993, 88 Ardelt Ave. in Kitchener, Ontario has been our headquarters. Our presence has grown on Ardelt Ave. – adding The Panel Shop in 1994 and constructing 86 Ardelt in 2000.
This marks the first year we won the title of one of “Canada’s Best Managed Companies.” We’ve held his title ever since.
S-S Technologies Product Division moves to Waterloo, Ontario and changes name to SST. SST is sold to Woodhead in 1998.
SAF, Picard, and S-S Technologies merge under Brock Solutions Inc.
Brock Solutions Inc. opens Brock Solutions U.S. to meet the needs of our growing American client base.
We open our first U.S. based office in Dallas, Texas. If you fast forward a few years, the office is no longer big enough so we expand into a new Irving, Texas office. “Engineering Solutions that Perform” Becomes an official tagline as Brock Solutions embraces a new logo and brand.
After being named one of Canada’s Best Managed Companies for seven years in a row, we were certified platinum.
We start operating out of a trailer in Vancouver, British Columbia. We’ve since upgraded to a real office.
Soluciones Brock de Puerto Rico opens to support local projects. We also open our Chinese operations and begin manufacturing molding machines. Brock Solutions would exit China in 2009.
A new panel shop facility in Irving, Texas opens and we expand our office space.
We host our first Airport Automation Summit. Industry professionals from around the world attend to learn and talk about how to improve the airline & airport industry. Our SmartSuite software launches and we’ve been enhancing passenger experiences and streamlining airport & airline operations ever since. We also expanded to two new site locations at SFO in San Francisco, California, and RJR in Winston-Salem, North Carolina.
Partners since 2007, we have supported the not-for-profit association in many capacities.
