Brock Solutions is proud to announce that it has been selected by the Port of Dover to implement a real-time Transit Assurance System, a critical step in preparing one of the UK’s busiest ports for the European Union’s new Entry/Exit System (EES) regulations.

Meeting the Challenge of Two-Stage Border Security Checks

With the EES introducing biometric checks for Third Country Nationals (TCNs), the Port of Dover faces unique operational challenges. To address this, the Port needed a solution that could provide real-time visibility and control over vehicle movements between two checkpoints.

Driving Transit Assurance and Future Readiness with SmartPort

In response, Port of Dover partnered with Brock Solutions to deploy its SmartPort platform, featuring a dedicated Transit Assurance module. SmartPort will integrate with ANPR cameras and leverage AI technology to track vehicle movements and confirm expected transit times. The solution includes operational dashboards, incident reporting, and multilingual interfaces. SmartPort’s modular architecture will also allow for future expansion and capabilities.

Brock Solutions has worked closely with us to tailor SmartPort to our unique operational environment and needs. This collaboration ensures we’re not only able to meet the complex operational challenges posed by our implementation of EES, but also well-positioned to scale and evolve our digital capabilities. Mark Burton, Head of IT, Port of Dover.

As the UK navigates the post-Brexit regulatory landscape, the Port of Dover’s investment in SmartPort positions it as a leader in secure, efficient, and scalable port operations. Together, Brock Solutions and Port of Dover are setting a new benchmark for operational excellence and border security compliance while laying the groundwork for a future digital transformation.
