Brock Solutions has been selected to perform the engineering, integration, and implementation for the Region of Waterloo’s Water SCADA system. The water system in the Region is complex and expansive, consisting of 120 wells, 17 groundwater treatment plants, 1 surface water treatment plant, 32 reservoirs, and 35 pumping stations. The Region initiated its upgrade program in 2017 after having identified 180 controllers that had reached end of life and needed to be replaced.
Taking all of these factors into consideration, Brock Solutions was selected to perform this work after successfully completing a pre-qualification and subsequent public bidding process. Brock’s competitive proposal was evaluated based on several criteria that included approach and understanding, industry experience, program management and lead roles, team, and price.
